Cheviots
came from the Cheviot Hills, on the border of England and Scotland.
They have white wooless faces and legs, (because of this they do not get wool
blindness)
pricked ears, black muzzle and black feet. They are very alert, active sheep.
The Cheviot is a long-wool type, hornless and of
reasonable frame.
The ewes are born mothers so have few problems with their lambs.
Their feet mean they don't have as much foot rot as other breeds of sheep.
