Lincoln sheep
Lincolns
are a hardy breed whose size and good temperament make them a popular breed for small
flock
owners.
Lincolns are also extremely adaptable - thriving in deserts and cold areas too. Lincolns
make efficient use of available food. The flock is routinely given protection against
diseases and conditions that may affect the species. In order to prevent importation of
diseases not currently present, the flock has been closed since 1996. Any further
bloodlines will be developed through the use of artificial insemination.
